Biography of Eric Isom

Sentry Logistic Solution’s Manager of Warehouse Operations
May 2008

Mr. Eric Isom is currently the manager of warehouse operations for Sentry Logistic Solutions Inc. located in Indianapolis, Indiana.  At Sentry Eric is responsible for maintaining the security and stability of client products throughout all phases of shipping and storage. This includes working with clients to develop solutions for domestic and international packaging, logistics and transportation; supervising day-to-day warehouse and storage facility operations; managing cold chain shipping and tracking processes and procedures; and ensuring that all warehouse operations adhere to FDA requirements and other applicable regulations.

Prior to joining Sentry, Eric served as a supervisor with Cook Imaging/Cook Pharmaceutical Solutions, a pharmaceutical producer and contract manufacturing organization. At a time when cold chain logistics was in its infancy, Eric was involved with the developing thoughts in the industry.  Eric put together a cold chain management process for his company and its clients.  The system had to encompass multiple ranges of temperatures and products.  The solutions he created included the development of a specialized container system that was prequalified for temperature sensitive shipping of pharmaceutical products.  This occurred before the industry suppliers offered similar solutions.

The Cook Company became part of Baxter Healthcare in 2001 and Eric continued in his position. He was responsible for directing supply chain logistics which included security, hazardous shipping regulations, overseeing export management procedures and developing solutions for each client’s unique needs. He played a significant role in facilitating Baxter’s growth by directing the relocation of the company’s cold storage warehouse, which doubled the size of its operations. He also assisted with several commercialized product launches that required the development of cold chain supply processes for some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies.

Eric continues to develop supply chain solutions for the storage and shipment of temperature sensitive products.  He frequently speaks at cold chain distribution conferences and contributes to influential warehouse and logistics trade publications. He received a B.A. degree in business management from Indiana State University and a degree in law enforcement from Vincennes University.
